It belongs to the military fortification located in a wide plain west of the River Enns. Around 200 AD the legio II Italica was transferred from Albing to this place and remained stationed until the end of the 4th century. At the north, the military settlement is situated on the lower terrace and stretched down to the river. The civil settlement with houses of wealthy Roman citizen are laid out at the west. It was probably raised to the status of municipims under Caracalla. More Information
